The Duo Ipu Vo'E is formed by guitarists http://soundcloud.com/cosmealmeida and http://www.soundcloud.com/luizhrm. The two guitarists were formed by Bachelors in Classical Guitar EMBAP - School of Music and Fine Arts of Paraná / Curitiba. In which they have interpretative guided by Professor Luiz Claudio Ribas Ferreira and Orlando Fraga.

The name Ipu Vo'E is due to the significance of the union of these two words from a native Brazilian Indian language, called Tupi-Guarani. "Ipu" means water that appears, and "Vo'E" is related to the sounds of nature. So these two words have an overview of what we represent with our work, a pure, natural sound of the guitars, but also keep an open mind to the possibilities of sound that can arise from this source.

The duo was awarded the 1st Place at the V International Competition  "César Cortinas". Homenaje a Fred Schneiter. held in Montevideo / Uruguay, in 2007.

O Duo Ipu Vo'E é formado pelos violonistas Cosme Almeida e Luiz Mello. Os dois violonistas formaram-se Bacharéis em Violão Clássico pela EMBAP - Escola de Música e Belas Artes do Paraná/Curitiba. Onde tiveram seus trabalhos interpretativos orientados pelo professor Luiz Cláudio Ribas Ferreira e Orlando Fraga.

O nome Ipu Vo'E deve-se ao significado da junção destas duas palavras de origem Tupi-Guarani. "Ipu" significa água que surge, e "Vo'E" está relacionado as sonoridades da natureza. Então dessas duas palavras temos uma síntese do que queremos representar com nosso trabalho, um som puro e natural dos violões, mas também mantemos a mente aberta para as possibilidades sonoras que possam surgir dessa fonte.

O duo foi premiado com o 1° Lugar no V Concurso Internacional "César Cortinas". Homenaje a Fred Schneiter, realizado em Montevidéu/Uruguai, no ano de 2007.
