Strangers in the City EP

Ira Mimosa is a singer-songwriter and guitarist born in Prague, Czech Republic. Her music is woven of gentle melancholy and tenderness, it is full of inner sadness, mixed with quiet pleasure, nourished by the sudden rain, the silence of the misty morning, the longing for the wind...and love. Her melodies are distinctive, her voice is touching and feminine, and so are the themes of her songs. Ira Mimosa sings mostly in French, and besides guitar she enjoys playing the melodica, glockenspiel and different types of rattles. In autumn 2012 she recorded her first album called La lumière (The light) which is composed of 6 songs in French. It was officially released in November 2012 by the independent record label Jezerka records based in Prague. 

At the end of March 2015 Ira Mimosa releases new single Mlha where she collaborates with Czech musician Filip Míšek (aka Dikolson) The music video for this song will release in May 2015. The music video for this song appears two months later. Currently Ira Mimosa is working on new album...

Ira Mimosa c'est une mélancolie douce, pleine de soleil, de vent et de pluie, au rythme de pas rapides et du murmure d‘ailes d‘oiseaux dans les cimes des arbres, cachée sous
l´odeur du matin brouillant et ralentie par la tranquillité d’un dimanche après-midi. Tout à coup, en un claquement de doigts, elle disparait...Les chansons fragiles.
