My first attempt at something like post rock. Not meant to be polished; perfect is the enemy of good.

I wanted to explore the idea of music with lyrics in morse code. 

The first step was to write a python script to convert text into a MIDI file of morse code. Then I wrote some lyrics about an ex. The MIDI files were imported into FL Studio, where I introduced additional delays between the letters to suit my rhythmic tastes. I recorded bass, sequenced drums, and recorded guitar to round out the sound. Last, I brought in a virtual Hammond B3 for the morse code sound, and messed with the drawbars over the course of the song.

In total, this took about 12 hours (mostly consecutive, with a break for a toasted cheese sandwich).

I used convolution reverb on the piano and overdrive on the pad. Otherwise, it's just the Roland.
