This was the first song from Chitral I listened to in 2018. Whenever I feel distant from the mountains, I listen to this song with a cup of green tea, which takes me back to the Hindu Kush Mountains where I was born and where I will die.

Merin Waar tune

Merin War is sitar sensation, this idea and project provokes an old tradition where they (ancient Khowar Folks) use to make instrumentals reflecting some stories or events (sad or joyous). Hence Merin War is also an attempt to recall the Old tradition of Khowar music with a tracking and camping video. 
Way back in 2019 we had a tracking campaign and spent about 2 days in this place where this tune was composed, best thing about this place is it gives you music vibes, many of our songs have been composed in this beautiful melodious environment. 

About Merin
Merin is  one of the tourist spot  in Chitral Gol National park, 1 hour and 30 minutes trail (4-Km) from TV booster Nakh. On the way (trail) you can  spot/witness the indigenous National Animal Markhor and chakkor easily. The nearest quiet 🤫 tourist spot where you cannot find any internet and other network, a place where you can be yourself.  Probably its the best place we've visited so far out of Network and into the wilderness this is the only nearest place to town Chitral where you can be without network and completely into the wild. 

Deen chacha
He was born here, and dedicated his life with his family for preservation. Performing his duty as watcher  he has appeared in many documentaries and magazine . Since spending his entire  life serving wildlife conservatory  still his message is loud and clear about cleanliness and preservation of the indigenous National and other animals.

Khowar Qaloom Mashup Ma Gilasa Oogh & Har e Namasgara By QashQarian Band

We are taking you back to the era of “Iqbaludin Sahar”, the man well renowned for talking sweet just like Ahmad Faraz described “Bolay to baton say  Phool jarhtay hain”. Iqbaludin Sahar needs no introduction, he hails from Shoghore, now settled in Balach and his ancestors are from a well-known and respectable family of Ghizer Gilgit Baltistan. During his life time he has composed 400 songs and most of them are super hits, and a rich part of Chitral music library. 
The Mashup comprises three melodious tunes which are written, composed, and sang by Iqbal Uddin Sahar himself. “Ay Dilbar e Dildar” has been composed in Goldure in the late 80’s surrounded by the company of his friends. “Shireen Anwazo Gaan” is a beautiful production during the same era at Jang Bazar. These two songs have been produced spontaneously in a friend’s circle and it is the God-gifted quality bestowed upon him from the Heavens. “ Tamasha mo ko ma taqdeero sora” is a beautifully sung and composed ode produced by Iqbal uddin Sahar for his life partner. This piece has been composed at Ayun and it was released in the late 80’s. 
So, our dear viewers and Listeners enjoy this groovy Mashup with the company of your elders and if you saw some tears in eyes of the youth of 80’s, do let us know. It will bring back memories of that era. Chitral Scouts band party and Nelofer will have a soothing effect on your eyes and of course, our music is for your ears and heart.
