Our fifth We Move broadcast, presented by DTW FM (@marcoweibel & @mawkus) which aired exclusively on January 23, 2017 on London's Radar Radio (@radarradio_ldn) recorded direct from Red Bull Studios New York.

We Move 05 • Number five y'all and we got real worldly with it! Opening up the show, Mawkus kicked it off with the latest @goyamamusic cut then went in on African flavors covering some of the diaspora, touching upon Ghana, Senegal, Nigeria and Congo. Marco closed out the first hour with more global goodness from Turkey, Japan, Thailand and the like. Our fearless leader Funk Bastard rocked the final hour going all over a broad spectrum flexing a plethora of Asian gems and rarities. This show was definitely artfully sound to start 2017 right - bump it!

Show #56 • With Marco back from Asia, this week's session features lots of freshness from his travels for the first 40 minutes. Our guests this week were two students from Building Beats (@buildingbeats // http://buildingbeats.org), a non-profit organization based in Brooklyn that was founded by NY-based DJ Phi Unit (@phi-unit) to serve and teach New York City's youth entrepreneurial, life and leadership skills through music production and DJ workshops. All the music that the two students, Alberto and Jebryl, played were original productions - both 14 and 18 years old respectively. Mawkus closed out the show with some essential nuggets. VIENE E VA lato C il terzo attesissimo lato del progetto uscito nel 2008, che aveva già visto la straordinaria partecipazione di tantissimi musicisti, DJs e rappers. 

Agli inizi dei 2000 DJ Gruff, con lo pseudonimo di Lowdy, lanciò una chiamata destinata ai rappers di tutta Italia, in una finestra di IRC. In poco tempo Lowdy è divenuto un punto di incontro di creazione di musica a distanza e di collaborazione tra artisti che non si conoscevano tra loro, senza i mezzi e gli strumenti di oggi, che ha dato voce a tanti, affermati ed emergenti. Questo esperimento socio cybernetico culturale ha unito il rap italiano per ben due volte nel 2008. Da anni DJ Gruff aveva in testa di replicare l’esperimento ed è stato il lockdown a spingerlo definitivamente a rilanciare la chiamata, servendosi dei ben più comodi mezzi attuali. Le risposte sono state talmente tante che sono emersi due brani: lato C e lato D (ancora in lavorazione).

VIENE E VA lato C è anche la terza tappa del progetto I MIGLIORI PENSIERI e registra la partecipazione di più di 40 artisti che uniscono l’Italia con versi e musiche composti durante la quarantena.

Una rete artistica unica che offre una panoramica sulle moltissime regioni i cui pensieri, dialetti e slang si intrecciano nonostante la distanza culturale e geografica: Piemonte, Puglia, Lombardia, Campania, Calabria, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Sicilia, Emilia Romagna, Lazio.
