Irial Enre - Clouds Over Manet

Irial Enré was born at the village of Lautrec, south of France, on June 14. Son of a self-established clockmaker, and a self-proclaimed anarchist. He grew up surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Lautrec, one of the most beautiful villages in France, in which later, he despised the most for the very same reason as the protagonist in Yukio Mishima's novel "The Temple of Golden Pavilion". At the age of 14, he befriended a local young anarchist, Jacques Guilbert, whom he shared similar interests: artistically and intellectually. Unlike his father, who were completely committed to the anarchist cause and an ardent contributor to the Tiqqun, a radical leftist philosophy journal, he immersed himself completely in Art, saying that "It is the only war worth fighting for." He began composing music at the age of 17, borrowing an old piano from the local connoisseur with the help of Guilbert. He imitated Satie, Ives, Rachmaninoff, Varesé, Stravinsky, Messiaen, and other modernists. His works are still largely unknown, mainly because of its poor, mimetic quality.
