ABOUT THE SONG:
I wrote the lyrics to half of the chorus down on a scrap of paper about a year ago, and it finally turned up again a week ago. Back then I had just gone through a bad breakup, and with all the plans we had made together suddenly off the table, I felt lost. I turned my recreational drinking into a habit and a crutch. It worked for a while. Eventually, though, the buzz faded and the heartbreak stayed, and I realized I needed to do some real emotional work on myself instead of trying to drink it off forever. This song is about that moment of realization. Hope you enjoy.
