Iridium DJ Presents The Foundation of Hardstyle - The Qlubtempo Era - Part 1- 2025

I still remember the early days of Hardstyle so clearly. When I heard the first sets of the Qlubtempo editions, I was instantly hooked! That authentic, lived-in early Hardstyle sound has stuck with me ever since! I've picked out tracks that remind me of that time. Nothing, but absolutely nothing, can beat that specific sound! Try to convince me otherwise! 

Here’s a small explanation taken from the Q-Dance website:

"Qlubtempo: the birthplace of hardstyle. This concept laid not only the foundation for hardstyle, but also for Q-dance. We'll take you back in time to the history of this legendary concept.
It was 2001: the heyday of hardcore was over, and people were looking for something new. Q-dance was still called Qlass Elite, and hardstyle hadn't yet been invented. We were throwing old-style parties, but that was starting to wear off. The hard feel that had dominated the dance scene for years was gone.

We decided it was time for something new. We had a venue: Hemkade in Zaandam, and we threw some harder styles into the mix. That's how we came up with a new concept: 
Qlubtempo, a monthly uptempo dance party, as we called it back then. 
"Uptempo dance only" was even the slogan for a while. "

Lucky me won some tickets for this awesome club event called 'VEKTOR enter the grid'. The party is in 2 weeks and takes place at the legendary 'Melkweg' in Amsterdam. For the occasion I decided to make a warm up mix. I took tracks from all the artists on line up and made a 60 minutes selection. I think it turned out pretty great!
