Jupiter 8 | First Contact

Espen Kraft made a great video about the AKAI S612 Sampler (https://youtu.be/01u2alyA08Y) and with it, a really nice, poppy tune that I simply couldn't resist the urge to turn into a full song. He graciously let me have a go at it, and liked the results. I got the stem mixes and vocal tracks, and basically went to town with it, giving it the full treatment I tend to go for. Trying to keep the liveliness and happy bouncing basslines, the steeldrums and cheerful brass lines. I added the intro, some bridges and turned the intro hook into a chorus since it was the main thing that caught my attention the first time. I also took Espen's vocal lines from his original chorus and harmonised them and did a little Porter Robinson thing at the intro and break down towards the end.
