Momma rocked me in a cradle - Held me in her arms 
All through-out my childhood - Protected me from harm 
When I'd fall and scrape my knees - Momma kissed away my tears 
When other kids would bully me - Momma calmed my fears

She said -"This hurts me more than you, Baby Girl, but you must learn to obey"
She'd mend my clothes - Cook my meals - Get me off to school

A Country Lane

Tommy Lee Brooks and Iris Brooks have written 100's of songs together and also on their own.   Iris lost Tommy Aug. 28th, 2015 to T2 poisoning.  She made a vow to keep their music alive.  Please take an in depth listen and help her keep that promise.

Born in Alexandria, Va. a self taught musician/ entertainer Tommy Lee traveled the midwest 15 years, with show & top 40 groups. Back to DC area 7 to 10 years in concerts, clubs. He opened with a Va. band for Merle Haggard at Capital Center, toured with the late Big Al Downing. He also opened for Miles Davis with a band called The Broom. 
He backed up Del Shannon, Bobby Goldsboro, Roy Buchanan, Carl Perkins, Danny Gatton, Lee Greenwood..practiced with Jeannie C. Riley. Tommy Lee was a member of The Ventrills for 5 years.

He lived with Billy Jo Shaver(CMA Hall of Fame) and picked music with him from NY to Nashville. 
Tommy Lee moved to Atlanta to pick with friends and got involved with independent studios.

Tommy Lee began doing composing and demos in past several years in his studio. He excelled in his work.  He played grand piano in church and later joined  a gospel group called "Three Nails"  He and his wife, Iris, have written, recorded and produced 100’s of songs. Country music was the main genre. In the last 10 years, their main focus has been gospel music. They hope to bring glory to God in all they do.

Iris spent most in SC. & began writing and playing piano in church at 12 years old, was their pianist for 30 yrs. She and Tlee love writing and singing for God's glory.

Iris won numerous songwriting awards in Nashville and also placed first the Hollywood Song Jubilee. Recognized by Sacred Circle for song against child abuse. Iris has written over 400 songs, co-written over 100, many with her husband Tommy Lee Brooks. 
Both Iris and Tommy Lee Brooks, in addition to their musical endeavors have survived biological poisoning from T2, a deadly vapor produced by toxic molds. They live but by the grace of God overcoming loss of all worldly possessions, homelessness, financial loss and life-threatening health effects. Despite disability are advocates to educate others and offer support to other victims of environmental illness and multiple chemical sensitivities. They worked with the Governor of Ga and various other state officials and environmental agencies as a part of research and education, as well as seeking better regulations on indoor air quality. 
Any support or interest of their music or situation is greatly appreciated and could have a big part in now Iris (Tommy in heaven) being able to get proper treatment and be able to continue their music ministry and live their dream to help others.
