a piece that tells the story of an in-between space at the waters edge a place for watching and feeling.

Birds skim the water in formations, my hands turn red and swollen with the channel sea air. 
This place is a passage, a separation, a barrier, a border. 
I stand on my side of the shore looking out across the stillness for you and for nothing. 
Maybe mourning our reality that turned to lack of reality that turned to archives of words that are not a person but a shell. 
I feel my own warmth fighting against the cold air, I remember everything, and I dream.
