For September, we sampled "Crazy 4 You" by Lassiter

I tried to get a shot of my 90s neon screen, and my cat insisted on being in the shot, as always.

I was going for an "abstract 90s disposable cup" theme with the artwork, and I think I succeeded! 😎

With restrictions in place both Pesk and myself thought it would be a good idea to record a socially distanced B2B mix where we would pick 3 tunes each, mix them up and flip it back to the other to eventually end up with this hour long mix which was aired on The History of Jungle Show back on the 7th July and was the first time I had heard the whole mix from start to finish. As we look forward to finally saying good riddance to 2020 the InnerSoul residents have put together their end of year mix. Each resident was assigned 2 months from the year and they had to pick 3 tunes from each of those months that features on our Selects series. Iris was introduced to electronic music at age 13, when she first heard “Insomnia” by Faithless on Seattle’s C89.5. Since then, her love affair with the music has only intensified as she has honed a diverse set of tastes and an equally exacting repertoire of skills behind the decks. Her journey has taken her from UK Hard House, into the sounds of Trance and Progressive, finally culminating in her current focus of Deep Drum and Bass, Techno.

Iris has been collaborating on original productions with DnB veteran Quadrant. Their first tune, Anthropocene, was spotted immediately by none other than Goldie himself, and snapped up for the Metalheadz Genesis EP volume 4. Other collaborations, with Quadrant and local legend Kid Hops, have been picked up and supported by Total Science for their CIA imprint, as well as Hospital Recordings, Dispatch and Commercial Suicide.

With an ever growing arsenal of original productions, a host of exclusive tunes from the hottest producers around the world, all held down by meticulous mixing and track selection, Iris is a force to be reckoned with.
