Recorded live from Organic Audio X Sisters of Sound, 13.11.21

This powerhouse is resident for a number of institutions across Melbourne such as Pawn & Co. Revolver Upstairs, OneSixOne, Killing Time and Thick as Thieves. A performer and videographer to boot, when BINI takes stage she owns the atmosphere.. and well deserved with her array of talent.

This lady has helped coordinate female focused events and has mentored some of the newest girls on decks currently taking storm. Her music medicine lays somewhere between the emotional depths of Melodic and Progressive, but with this her vast collection extending far beyond it's clear to see why she's been a Southside favourite for a number of years, recently making her way Northside to join us at 24 Moons and The Industrique

What a pleasure to open the floor for the lovely @l0ttal0ve @riyoon @ninze and @pi_cao - one of those nights where I should have left early but just couldnt stop dancing 😆

This set is one of my favorites so far as the sounds are really a true reflection of my inner world. I also hoped to honor female artists through the beginning of the set. Thank you to everyone who lit up the dancefloor with their smiles and vibes, it has left me feeling so full of happiness and gratitude 💓

Malaysian born Berlin based, her passion for electronic music was ignited whilst she lived in Mebourne / Naarm, Australia. Her first steps into this scene as she frequented clubs like Survivor! And Revolver Upstairs imprinted an ever-lasting place in her heart for genres such as techno, tech house and acid house.

Years down the line she found her way to her first psytrance festival, which led to a whole new world of inspiration that came with the beauty of natural landscapes and festival dance floors. After travelling through the world, and connecting with the music of different places and cultures, her journey into DJ-ing began in Berlin.

Introducing our next Sister of Sound - KOIAA

New to the DJ realm but longtime raver Koiaa has had her fair share of musical experiences. With a subtle spiritual influence, Koiaa brings her unique blend of deep house, progressive and techno, to create deep diving sets full of rich melodies and heavy baselines. 

First having an appearance guest mix on KISS FM, to getting involved with our friends at BushTechno, Koiaa is new to the Melbourne club scene. She’s spent most of her time behind the decks out in the bush, playing at private parties and in hidden suburban warehouses. 

Gathering inspiration from her favourite dance floors across the globe, from Alchemy circle at BOOM festival in Portugal, to Sisyphus in Berlin. Koiaa aims to evoke feelings from within, triggering your sensations with cosmic sounds to create your unique musical experience.

Sister Sessions - KOIAA

On the eve of the Spring equinox, Hekske (the little witch) and Falke (the 9-year old witch apprentice) kissed good night to Lalita, the nymph who is the protectress of the little oak tree.  This young tree is only 3 feet high, but is destined to live for 1000 years and become the future mother tree of the witch’s forest.  Actually, the March equinox is a very special moment for the nymph, as she arrived exactly 2 years ago in the witch’s forest in Flanders, after an epic 2-year walk all the way from the far end of the Malayan peninsula in South-East Asia.  So, after her evening yoga session, the nymph didn’t go to sleep as she had other plans.  She gently woke up the family of badgers (who live in an elaborate network of tunnels around the little oak tree) and they got to work.  Lalita had collected immaculately white sand and pitch-black charcoal and asked the badgers to draw patterns around the little tree with these 2 materials.  The animals couldn’t see what they were drawing in the dark night, so they drew all kinds of mystic symbols by simply following their instinct.  They worked frenetically all night long and it was only in the first morning light that they finally could see what they had been drawing all the time.  Magically, the white sand and the charcoal had arranged itself in mesmerizing geometrical pattens, like circles, triangles and octagons.  Exactly at that moment Hekske and Falke arrived at the scene and they were awestruck by this beautiful and elaborate black & white figure.  Lalita explained that this is a yantra, a magical maze of geometrical patterns with many hidden layers, and with the little oak tree right in the middle… the holy ‘bindu’ point.  The girls held a morning yoga session around the yantra and after that, Hekske and Lalita walked barefoot over the yantra until they could touch each other, with the tiny oak in between them.  They looked each other in the eyes … the bright green eyes of the little European witch locking with the intense black eyes of the Asian nymph.  After a few minutes, they raised their right hands and laid it on the chest of the other woman… the milk white skin of the witch touching the golden brown skin of the nymph, feeling their mutual heartbeats.  All the animals and birds who came to watch this ceremony, held their breath.  Then the girls started to move around in circles around the little tree.  First it was just a slow shuffle, but gradually they reached a state of ecstasy and whirled like dervishes around the future mother tree in increasingly fast circles.  Finally, they spun out of control and fell down.  After the dust had settled, they saw that the black charcoal and white sand had arranged itself into a new circular pattern… yin yang …

3 Years of Mystic Creatures I Mensch Meier

From ashes she rises into the scents of spring. Flowers blossom, and as the fruits of the Earth come alive once again, a dance of desire is awakened.

The months of darkness fade away into the blissfulness of freedom, after years of being shackled in an unknown reality.

Her sleepy eyes are coming back to a state of being alive, as though she is looking at the world for the first time.

And here, she feels the music in her bones, she sees laughter and bodies dancing. Kaleidoscopes of color sparkle in the sun.

While in the dark of night she howls to the shadows of the underworld, sitting with the wolves of the moon.
