O R C A S - Into The Night

Source material recorded at the EMP in Seattle using our mobile phones. We improvised for 10 minutes with these two really terrible digital keyboards and recorded everything using the phone's voice memo function. With a little bit of processing in the studio afterward, I constructed this piece, adding some field recordings I captured during the Substrata Festival field trip.

Goldmund and I made a track for an Erik Satie compilation last year (*released on French label Arbouse) at his studio in Portland. Keith (aka Goldmund) played the piano and I did the electronic arrangements and produce the track. My intent was to give the track a "ghost-like" quality, as if the spirit of Erik Satie was playing the melody in a very paced manner at an abandoned, old Château. Enjoy!

Cover version of "Until Then" I recorded with Benoit Pioulard this week. Benoit and I were working on our collaborative project this week and decided to record one of our favorite songs as a tribute. We were both extremely saddened by Trish Keenan's untimely death. She was a brilliant, talented artist and her music became a huge inspiration to both of us. R.I.P. Trish, we'll miss you.
