Dance Or Die 05 - CLARAA Live From Iris Dubai

Spanish-bred Mario Bazouri grew up listening to everything from Michael Jackson to George Michael to Prince. He discovered electronic music in the early 90s in the South Coast of Spain when working as a PR at a Spanish disco-bar that played Spanish Bacalao (Techno).
Making a move to Dubai, he helped define the club scene by organizing and promoting “DEEP NIGHTS” that welcomed Danny Tenaglia, Armand Van Helden, John Digweed, Erick Morillo and many more to the city.
Today, apart from being a highly rated Black Belt Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Practitioner and Competitor, he’s now on the other side of the ticket line, as a DJ & Producer and has become a frequent player in some of Dubai’s finest underground parties, earning himself a residency in Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE, The Hatch Dubai, Disconekt Dubai, Moe's on the Fifth Dubai, Playa Padre Marbella & Momento Club Marbella as well as a weekly show on Ibiza Global Radio UAE.
Music Production came next where he has signed to renown record labels such as Sudam Recordings, Exotic Refreshment, Lump Records, Kosa Music & Voyeur Music.

Hailing from the South of France, John Bowtie began his music career as a drummer in a rock band. Inspired by the energy of electronic music, Bowtie’s rock influences quickly translated to the DJ booth. Since moving to Dubai in 2017, Bowtie’s progressive and bewitching sets have become renowned for making crowds smile. A unique DJ and producer, guests can expect live finger-drumming, high energy and melodic textures.

Playing back-to-back with another DJ is a skill few people have. And we're not talking one-upping the other Dj with tunes they can't follow, we're talking about Djs that feed off each other’s tunes, energy and vibe to create a hands up, heads down affair. Jixo and Danz have made a career out of it, as the two Daniels (Jahed and Azar) work in tandem dropping everything from sunset deep house, Minimal tech, Indie dance  to peak time Melodic and techno.

They've had the pleasure of sharing the decks for DJ heavyweights like Solomun, Black Coffee, Adriatique, Tale of Us, Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, Sven Vath, Luciano, Ame, Carl Cox, Nina Kravitz, Maceo Plex, Bedouin, Adam Beyer and Dixon. Regularly playing to thousands on the fabled Soho terrace or the Dark underground club every weekend, they’ve also played underground bastions of cool back in Beirut, their home city, including The Basement, Ahm, The Grand Factory, Uberhaus, The Garten, Five Island Festival and converted bomb-shelter club, BO18.

Jixo (Daniel Jahed) and Danz (Daniel Azar) have been child hood friends since school, with the tight-knit bond continuing into their first pub, bar and club gigs. Amazingly considering their packed DJ schedule, the DJ duo both work full time in Dubai’s thriving media industry. It hasn’t stopped them from taking international bookings, however, with Jixo & Danz having worked dancefloors as far-flung as Ibiza, Croatia, Malaysia and Egypt.

Musically, they’ve always positioned themselves at the deeper, groovier end of the house spectrum known for their trademark super-smooth sets, but are equally as comfortable taking it up a notch and dropping a tech-house and techno masterclass when needed. And with their back-to-back energy and peerless selection guaranteed at every gig, Jixo and Danz are proving that two heads (and four hands) is better than one.
