Part 5- Vlad III's Demise....

Matthias Corvinus ordered the Transylvanian Saxons to support Báthory's planned invasion of Wallachia on 6 September 1476, also informing them that Stephen of Moldavia would also invade Wallachia. Vlad stayed in Brașov and confirmed the commercial privileges of the local burghers in Wallachia on 7 October 1476. Báthory's forces captured Târgoviște on 8 November. Stephen of Moldavia and Vlad ceremoniously confirmed their alliance, and they occupied Bucharest, forcing Basarab Laiotă to seek refuge in the Ottoman Empire on 16 November. Vlad informed the merchants of Brașov about his victory, urging them to come to Wallachia. He was crowned before 26 November. 

Basarab Laiotă returned to Wallachia with Ottoman support, and Vlad died fighting against them in late December 1476 or early January 1477. In a letter written on 10 January 1477, Stephen III of Moldavia related that Vlad's Moldavian advisers had also been massacred. According to the "most reliable sources", Vlad's army of about 2,000 was cornered and destroyed by a Turkish-Basarab force of 4,000 near Snagov. The exact circumstances of his death are unclear. The Austrian chronicler Jacob Unrest stated that a disguised Turkish assassin murdered Vlad in his camp. In contrast, Russian statesman Fyodor Kuritsyn –who interviewed Vlad's family after his demise– reported that the voivode was mistaken for a Turk by his own troops during battle, causing them to attack and kill him. We chose the version of the assassin for our tale.

The mistake was not killing Basarab

For a counterattack.

This is our final track of our Vlad series... Couldn't do a Vlad story without a little touch of the supernatural, so we created our own little story.

Great big thanks to Bitzone for reaching out and inspiring me to make music with him. He has been very patient with my process and generous with his creativity. He is a real cool guy and I am lucky to get to know him better. Lyrics and vocals only come out of me if the music's and my muses can make love with each other. 

The cold long overcast winters of the Pacific Northwest Portland Oregon area and the current nature of my work have affected me differently than the Sunny California positive vibing Bay Area. Therefor, I see life differently and my soul says different things. But the late spring and summer is alive with color and joyous with energy over here, making me more well rounded.

Thrills (ft The Turtle Project)

Following a very rewarding collaboration with Keitonie (The Second Revelation:  https://soundcloud.com/kcm069/the-second-revelation-w-keitonie ) I thought I would push my luck and ask him if he would be interested in another collaboration, this time with a third guitarist ... I had in mind Andrew Borderick, a songwriter and guitarist for whom I have the greatest respect.   When I put the proposal to Andrew his enthusiasm quite blew me away.
	My idea was to highlite and contrast our three distinctive guitar soloing styles … Keitonie's rhythm and blues, Andrew's progessive rock, and my own melodic freestyle.   For the project I chose a piano boogie I'd written some years ago while in pursuit of a diploma in music (I got the diploma in spite of the song).   It's main use since then had been as a piece for jam sessions.
	The tracks laid down by Keit and Andrew were perfect for the exercise.   I hope you enjoy the excitement and fun of this Soundcloud jam.   I certainly enjoyed every aspect of it.

Hello Soundcloud, thanks for the Listens, Likes and Support. Im from Melbourne Australia, I have been playing guitar for many years now and played in two bands during the 80's & 90's (STOLEN CAR original) & (STORM cover),both bands never released any material. Since 2010 i have been writing songs and tunes and recording them in my music room (3rd Bedroom), i play Guitar, Bass, Keys, BFD2 Drums(programmed)and Vocals on all of my songs which i class as Demo's, I love all types of music but Hard Rock, Rock to Alternative appeals to me most.
