Vasilis Kesalidis (aka Spinnet) and Ioannis Konstantios formed One Arc Degree in 2011. The project is based on work-time asymmetry, since Ioannis lives in Athens while Vasilis moved from Thessaloniki to Kalymnos island a few years back. Cloud based technologies and modern social media enable them to work on each project on their own free time, expanding each other’s ideas seamlessly. In most of their works you will find the ethereal soprano voice of Georgia Irakli. Either as a spectre behind the curtains or as a dramatic central presence, her voice never fails to heighten the senses. One Arc Degree is a music project about feelings and memories. It’s purpose is to explore the multitude of ways to express these feelings back into music, restoring those memories while assimilating the passage of time.

One Arc Degree - The Star Orchard

This song dives into the necessary confrontation with the shadow self, encapsulating the struggle and eventual integration of fear, pain, and past wounds. Dark, brooding undertones give way to uplifting, transformative melodies, representing the acceptance of duality and the realization that shadows are part of the light.

[ Ambrosia ] is compiled by Fishimself and consists of 10 tracks composed by mainly Greek artists, whose names were seldom heard of, but who should quickly reach the pantheon of Psychill.

In the fall of 2011 Critical Beats was contacted by Dj Samsara & Dj Furvus, two Danish producers, interested in supporting the project. Their idea: to gather electronic tracks from all over Europe, the former Soviet Union, and beyond, produced by underground artists inspired to save the Amazon.
