Daggers have been brandished and torches have been lit.
After the highly acclaimed Angel Of The Eastern Gate demo, SIJJIN now descend upon the scene with their first full lenght album arcanely entitled `Sumerian Promises´.
The record marks a 45 minutes long lesson in abyssal furiousness
and ripping intensity straight out of the caverns of hell.
No rest for the wicked indeed!
The basque/german collaboration has proved extraordinary musicianship while recording all songs live as well as using full takes only. No cuts, no edits, no bullshit.
Faithful towards the magic of the elder gods of Death Metal, SIJJIN undoubtably have managed to bring life unto death, or otherwise set death alive.
Merely the instrumental passage Hunting The Lizard allows a moment to catch some breath while transporting the listener amongst the stone walls of an ancient desert temple.

With `Sumerian Promises´, SIJJIN rise the flag of untamable, pitch-black and archaic Death Thrash Metal, rising from the shadows to embrace the unsuspectingly victim with sheer brutality.

SIJJIN - Condemned By Primal Contact

On Fast Idol, LA-based Black Marble reaches back through time to connect with the forgotten bedroom kids of the analogue era, the halcyon days of icy hooks and warbly synths always on the edge of going out of tune. Harmonies are piped in across the expanse of space, and lyrics capture conversations that seem to come from another room, repeat an accusation overheard, or speak as if in sleep of interpersonal struggles distilled down to one subconscious phrase. At the same time, percussive elements feel forward and cut through the mix with toms counting off the measures like a lost tribe broadcasting through the bass and tops of a basement club Soundsystem.

Saturated in the gloom of vampyric lore and gothic architecture, Grave Chalice looms confidently  between black metal and industrial music. Grave Chalice revels in savage riffs set against grinding mechanical blasts and the voice of a mind lost to madness. Grave Chalice formed as an answer to isolation. At first frustrated by the lack of live performances, this new reality became an act of liberation. The band was freed from any expectations of replication. The recording could sublimate the performance and capture a small piece of life and time intertwined just for the recording. With this realization, driving, sadistic noise began to proliferate the edge of each song. These noise contributions by R.A. became a defining feature of the Grave Chalice sound. And so over the period of several months, working across multiple state lines the group wove a misanthropic tapestry of metallic noise that is DEMO MMXXII.
