If you've ever wanted a thrash record that smells like a wood-fired oven and poor decisions, Lil Sagna's debut EP Dead Bread is exactly the chaos you didn't know you needed.

The artwork says it all — a sunglasses-wearing raccoon posted up on the beach with a slice in one hand, a forty in the other, skulls in the sand, and absolutely zero regrets. That energy carries straight into the music.

Opener Boxed and Hot comes out swinging with palm-muted aggression and zero warmup time — this EP does not shake your hand first. Cut the Slack is the fed-up anthem of the runtime, all locked-in chugging riffs and barked vocals that feel like a text you almost sent your boss. Left to Waste is the closest thing to a slow burn here, which still means it's moving faster than most people's entire discographies.

Sliced Up is the moshpit centerpiece — short, mean, and to the point. Closer Sun Baked Goodness somehow manages to be both the most chaotic and most triumphant track, ending the EP the same way the cover art feels: messy, loud, and weirdly satisfied with itself.

While Anthrax was shaking New York and the Californian scene was defining thrash metal’s future, Iron Covenant quietly carved its own path — blending surgical riff discipline, relentless rhythmic force, and unforgettable hooks.

Too technical to be just another thrash band.
Too raw and uncompromising to become mainstream.
