Camping Vibes Réunion 

Wir sind zurück. Nach gut einem Jahr macht die Reisegruppe Chaos seinem Stamm Campingplatz wieder einmal seine Aufwartung. Bereits beim betreten der asphaltierten Zufahrt ist alles wie damals. Der Geruch von frittierten Pommfritt, Reinigungsmitteln und Kondenswasser liegt omnipräsent in der Luft wie der Duft eines schweren & süßlichen Parfüms. Auf dem befestigten Weg, durch das Areal, herrscht reges Getümmel. Kleine Kinder laufen lachend und schreiend durcheinander, fuchteln mit Spielzeugwaffen herum oder fahren auf schnittigen Gokarts um die Wette. Jedes Mal aufs Neue erscheint mir dieses Szenario ein bisschen surreal. Denn ist soweit von meiner und der Lebensrealität der anderen entfernt wie Ebe von der Flut. Während die meisten der Gäste hier ihren Familienurlaub verbringen, sind wir hier um abzuschalten und den Alltag für ein paar Tage hinter uns zu lassen. Um dieses Ziel zu realisieren werden unterstützend Sportzigaretten gequarzt, Bierchen gezischt und Stickstoff leidenschaftlich aus Luftballons inhaliert. Es wird ausgelassen getanzt, die Hüften in Schwung gebracht und das Zahnpasta Lächeln zaubert sich wie von selbst auf die glücklichen Gesichter. 
Für ein Wochenende leben wir in einer Parallelwelt, innerhalb eines Refugiums der Entspannung und Erholung. Gemeinsam mit jung und alt genießen alle Anwesenden ihre Zeit. 

Nugi serviert uns heute den perfekten Soundtrack für ein Wochenende am See. Gesetzte Downtempo Tracks laufen säuselnd ineinander über, wie Vogelchöre am morgen eines ihres unzähligen Lieder anstimmen. Die positive Stimmung des Podcasts überträgt sich wie von selbst auf seine Hörerschaft. Wir sagen Dankeschön und wünschen Euch allen viel Spaß beim hören und eine angenehme Zeit <3

Already a close member of Life and Death’s extended family, @adamten makes his debut appearance on the label with a freaky anthem, distinctly shaped for baroque dancefloors, eccentric parties, and sweaty summer festivals.  

It’s already been a massive run for Adam Ten over the past year: following the chart-topping success of his anthemic tune ‘Spring Girl’ on Higher Ground, Adam performed one of the most impactful sets at Burning Man last summer, had two packed DJ sets with longtime collaborator Mita Gami at the Yuma Tent at Coachella, and has all the while stayed consistent with strong releases on Crosstown Rebels and his very own label Maccabi House label. 

‘Magic Circus’ has Adam’s signature soundscape all over it: funky samples, hypnotizing groove and trippy synths, coupled with tensed buildups and highly percussive drums. This special record has been a staple in recent sets by Adam himself, as well as Life and Death label member Carlita, and founder DJ Tennis.

Two Italians step into the Bordello. Both are armed. Their weapons of choice? The synthesizer sounds of italo, new beat and wave. LVCA and Otis have been raised on the sounds of their homeland, adopting its analogue sound while adapting it to their own style. The result is a brooding mix of addictive lines and vocoder fire. “Ritmo Electronico” opens with a steel-edged snare driving smeared synths through the city dusk, robotic lyrics menace this sleazy neon-stained scene of cracked mirrorballs and flaring machines. Listeners are pulled into the underbelly of A Promise In The Cold Night with the murky “Tanzen”. Alex Vincent’s words are shrouded in glitch, bright burbling bars and a clean clap offering a path of light to help the listener navigate their way. The true coldness of the night arrives with the stabbing keys of “Synthesised Emotion”. Through a haze of hi-hats, an electrical smoke of blacks and greys fizz with juddering volts as passions pour through cable and wire. That haze grows thick in the close. Through a mist of distortion, a “Sphere Of Light” penetrates. Pin-pricks of percussion are dowsed in aquatic tones before a syrup of static is poured across proceedings, lost vocals ghost in this fog of bending bodies and forms.
