“quiet nights” is about loneliness, feeling like you’ve sunk to the bottom of the ocean from the weight of your tears. The rise and fall of the reverb guitars mimic the hazy water that surrounds you, blurring your sight of what is reality and what is made up in your mind. Voices dance around in your head and you struggle to make out what they’re truly saying as they overlap each other in polyphony - a dreamy, ethereal backdrop to the lonely scene.
