I have a fascination with this beat. Ever since the first time I heard it, I fell in love with it. The way the brass hits, the way the sub comes in... everything about it. This came out in 2009, right when I was first getting into producing. I have made many attempts and iterations of this song over the years, each time getting a little bit closer. My mixing skills have never been my strong point but after asking Vybe himself on Twitter, he let me know that the brass came from the Korg M3. There's such a silky smooth effect to that brass and after many Soundfonts, VSTs I finally got my hands on the sound. I think I could have mixed it a little better, but I was focusing also on the way the sub and hi hats are really focal in this beat. Anyways, hope you enjoy. This may be the last time I attempt to remake this.
