Nexcyia is the moniker of London-based producer and sound artist Adam Dove. Dabbling in the experimental and soothing - and the spaces that blur between - Adam's output fuses discordant sound design and vast soundscapes, using field recordings, noise and other textural sonics to transport the listener to another place.

These compositions have made their way to labels like katharsis and Edited Arts, as well as catching the ear of NTS resident and Alien Jams boss Chloe Frieda who invited him to release on the label last year with 'Crawl'; an EP that would lead to another outing for the home of Alien Jams' parties, Cafe OTO. 

We invited him to take care of this week's Monday Is OK mix which immerses you in a bath of drone, ambient, experimental and more.

Theatre of ampheng is a full fledged virtual  orchestral spectacle, altered by free jazz and improvised non-sensibilities. ‘Traditional’  sounds of horns, keys, stringed, wooded, and metallic instruments are reprocessed by frequency organisms, while an interloping range of ‘conductors’ take turns to disorient their starting, ending and standing positions on a non-linear, devolving score. 


The end result is a bog of psychoactive suites, adjacent to fallen myths, time, tribe and trope displacements, end time exodus drama  and pointillistic surrealism.
