Originally commissioned by my wife to be shared with some friends. I bear no ill-will to Swedes, Sweden or chefs. I fully understand and endorse that the image and sound of the Swedish Chef belongs to Henson's production and no copyright  infringement is meant by this audio segment, it is purely my way of honouring Mr. Jim Henson, a wonderful man, his company and the wonderful legacy he left us with the creation of The Muppets.

Just something I threw together really quickly just to test a Korg M3R I picked up at a pawn shop for $30 :)

I've been trying very hard to break out of a mould I seem to be stuck in with regards to composing jazzy pieces. I always kind of find them boring really. So tonight I thought I'd imagine myself playing with other musicians and try to play off of my virtual band members. Here's what I got. :)

This short track was done with free VST instruments in a DAW called Reaper.

Guitars In The Night

Another track done solely with a free VST in Reaper. This one was created and recorded for a friend in Ireland who loves the Cello, I thought it was a pretty convincing VST and in a more complex piece with other instruments it might work, see my "Down in the valley of the evening", but on its own like this, the lack of an expression pedal means the notes die off way to quickly at the tail end of the sample.

I'm the epitome of a wanna-be musician. Music has been a part of my life ever since I can remember, but I would say that in the last decade and a half or more, I have had this insatiable need to actually create music. I haven't taken any lessons YET! Be it a combination of lack of time, lack of discipline, work or other priorities always seeming to take a foothold, I have never been able to progress, or heck even start on my journey in music making. I've made some noises, as my wife might say, and I've chosen to perhaps reluctantly share some stuff here on Soundcloud. I don't know what the future holds for me and my beloved music and I hope dear listener you come along for the ride, just hang on it may be a little bumpy.
