« Partial Amnesia » is my very first original song, in collaboration with DJ and keyboardist Brian Gopfa from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia https://www.facebook.com/brian.gopfa. It is also a new music genre which Brian decided to call « Poetic House Music » as the lyrics are based on a poem I wrote called « Amnésie Partielle ». "Partial Amnesia"

This is my "female version" of "The Things (That) I Used to Do", a 12-bar blues song written by Guitar Slim (aka Eddie Jones). His recording became a bestseller and stayed on the rhythm and blues charts for 42 weeks. Eddie Jones (1926 -- 1959), better known as Guitar Slim, was a New Orleans blues guitarist, from the 1940s and 1950s. This song is listed in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll. Indeed, Slim had a major impact on rock and roll and experimented with distorted overtones on the electric guitar a full decade before Jimi Hendrix.  Stephen "Stevie" Ray Vaughan (1954 -- 1990) was an American guitarist, singer, songwriter and record producer. Often referred to by his initials SRV, Vaughan is best known as a founding member and leader of Double Trouble. With drummer Chris Layton and bassist Tommy Shannon, they ignited the blues revival of the 1980s. Vaughan died in a helicopter accident at the age of 36.

"The things (that) I used to do"

This is my cover of "S Wonderful", a popular song composed by George Gershwin, with lyrics written by Ira Gershwin. It was introduced in the Broadway musical Funny Face (1927) by Adele Astaire and Allen Kearns. The song was included in the 1951 movie An American in Paris where it was sung by Gene Kelly and Georges Guétary, as well as in the 1957 American musical film Funny Face, in which it was performed by Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire and in Starlift (1951) by Doris Day. The song has been recorded by many jazz artists, eg. Brian Wilson, Anita O'Day, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Sarah Vaughan, Diana Krall etc...

This is my cover of "This Little Bird" by Marianne Faithfull. Marianne Evelyn Faithfull (born 29 December 1946) is a British singer, songwriter and actress whose career has spanned five decades.

"Trains And Winter Rains"

" Aranjuez Mon Amour " is a 1967 adaptation by Richard Anthony of The Concierto de Aranjuez, a composition for classical guitar and orchestra by Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo (1939). Rodrigo wanted his work to capture " the fragrance of magnolias , the singing of birds, and running fountains " of the gardens of Aranjuez ( Madrid). Some have thought that Rodrigo’s composition had been inspired by the bombing of Guernica in 1937. Several artists have covered Richard Anthony’s song, including Amalia Rodrigues (1967) and Nana Mouskouri (1994). Amália da Piedade Rodrigues Rebordão (1920-1999) is a Portuguese singer and actress. She was nicknamed « the Queen of Fado ». Fado is a Portuguese musical genre that takes the form of a sad song usually accompanied by plucked string instruments. Fado songs are usually about imperfect love, jealousy, death and nostalgia of the past, the difficulty of living, grief, or exile. The word fado comes from the Latin word Fatum , which means "fate." "Aranjuez Mon Amour"

This is my cover of "Mad About the Boy", a popular song with words and music by British actor and playwright Sir Noël Coward (1899-1973). It was introduced in the 1932 revue Words and Music byJoyce Barbour, Steffi Duna, Norah Howard and Doris Hare. The song deals with the theme of unrequited love for a film star.  Dinah Washington covered it in 1952.

"I Got Rhythm"

Here is my cover of the song "Ultreïa", the song sung by the pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela (in Galicia in northwestern Spain ). The song was written and composed by Jean-Claude Bénazet. Claude Laxalde plays here the accordion (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y50Rq...). Ultreïa (from the Latin expression ultra (= beyond) and eia ( an interjection referring to a motion) was an expression of joy in the Middle Ages, mainly related to the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela; it means: to go farther, higher. And so the song is about surpassing oneself, going beyond one's limits. The Way of St. James was one of the most important Christian pilgrimages during the Middle Ages, together with Rome and Jerusalem. Many thanks to Jean-Claude and Claude for their agreement.

Here is my cover of « Où sont tous mes amants ? » ("Where are all my lovers?), a song by Charlys and Maurice Vandair, performed by French singer Frehel in 1935. Fréhel (1891-1951), whose real name was Marguerite Boulc'h, was born in Paris; she left her mark on the interwar period. The song is a meditation on lost youth. Here is my cover of « Blowin 'in the Wind », a song written in April 1962 by Bob Dylan (album The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan). A symbol of protest songs, its human and poetic significance made it the anthem of a generation ; it also helped Dylan to establish himself (Dylan was only 20 years old at that time) as a spokesman and as a spiritual leader of the civil rights movement. I used a karaoke backing track.

Here is my cover of "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", a major hit for The Andrews Sisters and an iconic World War II tune. This song can be considered an early jump blues recording. It was written by Don Raye and Hughie Prince and recorded at Decca's Hollywood studios on January 2, 1941, nearly a year before the United States entered World War II  The song is ranked #6 on Songs of the Century. The visuals are from the Bud Abbott and Lou Costello movie "Buck Privates" (1941). I used a karaoke backing track. Thank you very much for listening to my version.

I listened to this beautiful song that I had been familiar with for a long time and I thought that Claude's idea was excellent. Hello everyone! 
I started singing in November 2011. I uploaded a few songs to Youtube, all recorded with the digital voice recorder I used to interview people...I was a market research consultant; I conducted research projects in 5 languages; I am now retired. So that's how the whole thing started... Just for fun I could say. But there was also another deeper, more personal, reason for my starting to sing, which I may tell you about one day... 
I have no musical background, I can't read music, I do everything by ear and by feel only; I just love to sing :). 
I hope you will enjoy my very varied repertoire: Jazz, Pop, Blues, Rn'B, Folk, Latino, Electronica etc... and my videos which I make myself :).
