Isaac Friend is a locally grown singer, songwriter, and drummer who has played with a variety of projects that have sprung out of Richmond’s vibrant music scene. As varied as the artists he’s worked with—from Evan Barlow Music, to Manifestivus, to The Southern Belles--his solo sound is similarly diverse. His live performances feature original songs with soul, rock, and pop influences. His experience as a drummer grounds his rhythm.  RVA Magazine wrote: “the well-structured nature of Friend’s songwriting bleeds through to his thoughtful drumming.” While his originals will draw in the dreamers and lovers, Friend’s cover song selection is infectious, taking you from Bill Withers to Britney Spears.
