Texas-bred, San Francisco-schooled and Berlin based producer, DJ and vocalist Kevin Knapp makes his first solo appearance on Hot Creations. Already a massive Summer Anthem for the Hot Creations and Paradise Crew.. this is shaping up to be one of the singles of the Summer.

Equally adept in the studio, on the decks and behind the mic, Kevin Knapp has emerged from the bustling Bay Area dance music community to international attention, with support from the likes of Matt Tolfrey, Richy Ahmed, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, Eats Everything, Claude VonStroke and Audiojack. It was only a matter of time before Knapp heard the call of the global techno capital, relocating to Berlin in early 2013.

He’s also become a fixture on the international circuit, gigging across the globe, from Detroit to New Dehli, San Diego to Seoul, and appearing at industry-leading events like Movement (DEMF), ADE and Off-Sonar Week. His releases and collaborations can be found on the likes of Leftroom, Dirtybird, OFF Recordings, Defected and now Hot Creations.

I had a dream that Birmingham's one and only Low Steppa and dark bass trendsetter Taiki Nulight teamed up to collaborate on some music, it was glorious. When I woke up I thought, "This could never happen." As I checked my email that day there was not one but two songs by the innovative British producers. It's a Night Bass miracle! The two songs are a perfect union of both producers' styles. "Nu Jam" is a dark and bouncy roller with a big fat sub guiding the way, while "Nose Powder" takes us to a fist pump level of energy around a minimal but undeniably banging bassline. Summer might be over now, not that there was much of one in the UK this year, but Hot Creations isn't done just yet, soon releasing 'Hot Summer Jams 2'. 

As you can tell from the title, it's the second installment from Jamie Jones and Lee Foss' label, having dropped the first last year, and this one's made up of eight exclusives. Jones heads it up, with former HC artist Alexis Raphael appearing with one track alongside first-timers like Leftwing & Kody, Cera Alba and Suara boss Coyu.
