Just learned this great song by Medicine for the People about a week ago. The chords were easy and it was good for my range. I also really like how fast the syncopation of the words get near the end of the song, almost like a rap. 

The song also has a deep spiritual meaning about reconnecting with the great spirit and the earth.  The word "Tunkashila" is Lakota Sioux for "Grandfather", or there version of God. I also like how in the first verse the advice is to "stay mindful" as the key to getting through the trials of life. Anyway, please tell me what you think of the recording!

I wrote this song when I was 16 years old. It was inspired by one of my favorite artists of all time and It was the first song I ever wrote and finished. I'd like to one day do this with a band and have a different arrangement, but for now this acoustic version will have to do. This was recorded live in my basement studio in northern Michigan.

It's taken me a while to compile what I thought was the best version if the song Whiskey in the Jar. I think I've got he lyrics down pretty well now, so I did a quick recording if it (a few guitar mess ups/timing oddities), but mostly a good recording. Please let me know what you think! I personally think it would sound better with mandolin.
