Magic Feet's latest vinyl voyage companions are fresh-faced Lithuanian audio-visual explorers Roe Deers. Best-friends Liudas and Oskaras have been producing, DJing and performing together for some time; "Kukushka", the track showcased here, marks their debut release. It's an impressive debut, too. Built around metallic percussion hits, chugging post-punk attitude, tipsy textures and the sound of broken cuckoo clocks, 'Kukushka' is a throbbing dancefloor excursion blessed with an otherworldly atmosphere.

The debut release on Omnidisc's Polyester Series is from Lithuanian-duo Roe Deers and their intelligent, unpredictable sound has been channeled in the 'Rush' EP. 

The title track is a low-tempo destroyer and although the pace is lowered, the pair make up for it with a serious amount of voodoo dread. It's dark, devilish and premiering right here, right now.

Apparently I have a tendency to hide things from myself... and have discovered a small arsenal of mixes that I recorded but never shared… I am calling them “The Lost Files.” 

Track 1- This is probably the most accurate representation of my minimal/techno/house mixing style to date…  Even though it was originally recorded 8 months ago. Ha! 

The first half is melodic, with a lot of beats, noises, echoes… maybe the better word is hypnotic…. And the second half is just plain nasty. I know… I could have thought of a better explanation… but that’s about the only word that comes to mind when I hear tracks like that- I can’t say anything really…. I can only dance. :)
