Isabel Frey performs Morris Rosenfeld's "Mayn Rue Plats" live at Kulturcafé Max on March 3rd, 2019 in Vienna. This song is one of Rosenfeld's many "sweatshop poems" in which he describes the dire working conditions of Jewish immigrant workers in New York. It was inspired by the tragedy of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire in 1911 in New York City, where over a hundred textile worker's were killed, many of them Jewish women and girls.
