Last year I relocated from big smoke Sydney, to a small coastal town Merimbula on the far south coast of NSW. I'd hardly played any music all year but a few weeks ago I finally made it out to my good friend Kane Gardaya's bedroom studio in Towamba.

Towamba is a tiny locality out in the bush. Wild apple, plum and peach trees grow on the road's wayside. Kane's family has a pet shetland pony, a blue heeler, chickens, and a micro vineyard. 

We spent the day swimming in the river, finding waterfalls, drinking kombucha, and laying down some tracks. I decided to have a crack at one of my favourite songs at the moment: 'Barbary Coast' by Conor Oberst.

We didn't even have headphones, but I am so happy with how it turned out. Huge thank you to Kane for his time and talent.
