"Born in Brazil, raised in Italy and now residing in San Francisco, artist Isa Grassi created The Polaroid Project as a homage to live music and a means to further expand her artistic endeavors. Capturing musicians strictly via Polaroid, the project has featured a vast array of artists on the rise such as Shura, Sir Sly, and Aquilo; in addition, to more well-known artists like Banks, HAIM, and Years & Years. Far from the choreographed lighting and screaming fans, artists are photographed pre or post show, usually when they are more relaxed and can be themselves. Grassi said “I want people to fall in love with these individuals, with their essence, and not because they are popular amongst our society. I want people to look past the pretty faces and stylized looks, and appreciate them for what they are and not necessarily who they are.”" - COHL KIDS
