Concept:
When I first started writing the show it was meant to focus around the duality of man. On one hand, humanity has built up vast civilizations and has the potential to be a very powerful force for good, but on the other hand we have also brought down those same societies and are pretty broken at our core. During the writing process it developed into something much more personal, focusing on the subject of recovery from mental illness/addiction.

Concept:
Explores the current model of the stellar life cycle. The show begins in a massive nebula, with gas and dust particles slowly coming together and beginning the fusion process (movement 1). 

The star eventually stabilizes, and the protoplanetary disk settles. One lucky planet finds itself capable of supporting life, and the warmth and light of the star allow it to flourish. Alas, eventually the star will die, growing in size into a red giant and forcing the once great civilizations born out of this planet to find a home on a distant world in another system (movement 2). 

In its final moments, the star runs out of fuel, collapsing in on itself and then exploding into a supernova, tearing through the planets around it. As the blinding light fades, it leaves behind a super dense core which slowly fades away over an unfathomably long period of time (movement 3).

This is Fairfield's first endeavor into the world of marching percussion, here's to many more great seasons!
