The first lines of the title track "Game" from the new EP of young talent Augenstein couldn't describe better the situation we are all in. Longing for days gone, when we all danced together, now awaiting the future ahead, hoping. Although only the present moment brings us such creations like these here - Augenstein and Tjutju offer us three beautiful tracks driven by deep basslines, sparkling synths, and forward-going rhythms. a part of my morning routine is making a coffee, and a recent mishap resulted in the smashing of my sugar bowl lid, the bowl itself was already cracked but i was fine with that, so lately i'd make the coffee and think to look up sugar bowls as locally the selection has been crap/nonexistent... by the time i'm settled in for the rest of my morning i've completely forgotten about it... so this is an audio reminder to get a sugar bowl finally.

𝓈𝓊𝑔𝒶𝓇 𝒷ℴ𝓌𝓁

The EP includes four tracks. “Ossaim” is an encounter with the God of the forests and the flowers. In this piece of jungle-sound the duo invites us to embark in the woods, the ritual has begun. In the sequence appears “Sarvará”, an edit of a track of the very-very Brazilian ProjetoMujique; of this bridge Brazil-Portugal appears this second track, an electronic ode to Oxalá. “Ovoavoa” is an invitation to the liberation and celebration of life and love. An invitation to smile and dance freely. “Urubu Violeta” finishes the thematic clipping. It is a “musical illustration” of an original poem by actor Rui Queirós de Matos aka Spike that gives voice to the more futuristic composition of the EP. With an organic feel that is the result of an exciting layering, the Portuguese newcomers deliver a cosmic, fresh, unique and emotionally rich production of intentions.

“O Futuro do Passado” is a vivid introduction to the thematic clipping explored by Maria and Luís. With a down tempo ethnic's scene still embryonic Portugal seems to contribute strongly to the artistic extrapolation of the duo. An infinity of perspectives and colours, together with a powerful groove feeling make this project a unique sound experience. With the incessant search for ways of expressing themselves through popular music, Ohxalá delivers in such a different way a sound package that make us reflect on the past and look to the future without fear.

This song represents a conversation between Mother Nature and a Warrior from another planet whom was sent to help Humans survive and protect Nature.  The Warrior wants to destroy Humanity considering they are the ones destroying Earth and Nature, Divine in the Universe.

The nature of the arts is one of those ancient enigmas which keeps thoughtful minds constantly philosophizing on its power. The mystery of art is deepened by the fact that inspiration can burst at anytime; any sound or fleeting glance can trigger a masterpiece. How can that be explained? We don’t know, and maybe we never will, but what matters to us is tending to that inspiration, and the conditions in which it thrives. This is the story of MA, the latest EP by Batu Ozer, which we are happy to bring to our listeners today. Old recordings of saz or string instruments resembling long-necked lutes, triggered the creative genius of the artist, and five new aural gems were the result.
The title of the album means “water” in ancient Turkish language. Its sonorities and motives evoke the elegance and preciousness of the old Anatolian history. Sounds of spilling water remind us of the fountains found in the courtyards and gardens of gilded palaces. Gentle choirs blend with lutes and finger percussion, effectively transporting us to the public intimacy of the ‘Arfana’: the public musical gatherings of the old times. All of the artist’s productions reflect this ancient beauty, which skillfully revisits and elaborates with electronic effects, resulting in a timeless weave of antiquity and modernity.
