Back in July, 909 RIOT (Leeds-based techno legend) and Isca Nublar (me) were invited to take over Shockwave's Hot Picks show on Techno Connection, and we jumped at the chance....!! 

If you didn't catch it first time round, this is my set from the second hour of that show, which followed an hour of ultra-cool techno from 909 RIOT - I hope you enjoy it as much as I did recording it....!!

Isca Nublar & 909 RIOT on Shockwave's Hot Picks

Our number #12 is Alex Schultz, a representative of the Odessa techno scene, DJ and producer, resident of the Odessa formation Povitrya. He debuted as a producer in 2015 on the Dutch label “Planet Rhythm” with his Brain Structure EP, and in September of the same year he released his EP on Wunderblock Records.
He recently debuted at the French label Blocaus. The “Return EP” also features a remix by English producer Setaoc Mass.
Alex set starts with machine sounds and dark soundscapes followed by hypnotic and trippy elements. Even in the beginning, listeners notice already his story teeling. The groovy and minimal part fits perfectly to Alex spaced out tunes.
His progression results into rave and shack your body parts and ends with techno classics and more ambientish atmosphere.
Excellent selection and wonderful set!
