Grown in the midst of Finnish spruce forests and the long and cold nordic winters, Latmos pours these elements into his mind entwining techno tracks.

The sound of Latmos is known from it's warm and weighty basslines, cavernous soundscapes and highly detailed synth motifs. His music holds a hypnotic quality without osing drive for the dancefloor; music for both body and mind.

Latmos records every track in real-time with sounds coming from various hardware synthesizers. With this very hands-on approach in music production Latmos aims to create the sence of something being ”alive” in his music. The synth sounds of Latmos are ever- evolving and interacting with each other like being part of a living organism.

Latmos has released music on various labels such as: Subosc, Fur:ther Sessions, Blacklabel Distillery and Cinus. His music has also been remixed by deep techno pioneers Mike Parker and Samuli Kemppi.

The music of Latmos has been played by highly respected DJs like: Oscar Mulero, P.E.A.R.L., Dimi Angelis, Patrik Skoog, Denise Rabe, Magna Pia, Eric Cloutier, Vincent Neumann, Dino Sabatini and Blazej Malinowski to name a few.

As a DJ Latmos is able to adapt into various venues and scenarios. He is always bringing something fresh to the table and keeping the listeners always on their toes.

CODECAST X - Enshade - Resonation

April's Pink full moon arrived fresh off the total solar eclipse earlier in the month. Quite a lot going on astronomically... but for us, below has been as busy as above. After dancing our shoes off at Mostra, we came back inspired, this time by the most experimental, mental, breaky sounds. 
Undeniably dominating now the 'deep', 'hypnotic', and 'psychedelic' realm, we find half-time sounds all over the place. Via labels like Omen Wapta, Samurai Music, Mirror Zone... or artists like Vardae, Spekki, Woody amongst many others, this 'sometimes faster, sometimes half-time' sound has risen, and the popularity of the 160-180 (or half that) is as big as ever. 
For our 45th chapter of Selene Series, we pay tribute to that side of the sound. Starting slower, moving up with a shift here and there, we visit the land of breaks, dnb, and half-time psychedelia.

Biography
Empirical as a hard sip spilling from a discharged battery. There is always a nihilistic fetish in these youngsters dealing with technology. Stefano Martino, aka R A S H, is never hiding this darkest side in his composition. His machinery becomes a ritual object within which his human state becomes an algorithmic begging of change making its appearance at warm 50 hertz complacency.

His sound exploration is elaborated through decadent, post-industrial soundscapes inscribing the full failure of a consumer society which noise becomes an evidence whilst its awareness is modelled, reworked within a dystopian hexavalent chromium taste, blended into the future.
