Ish Akanour is a 20 year old Hip-Hop artist representing Springfield/Western MA. Born in Agadir, Morocco, Ish didn’t move to the US until he was 7 years old. His upbringing in Agadir provided him with a broad cultural perspective, and influenced his sound significantly. He often lends a unique vibrato to his voice, reminiscent of the Imam’s he heard as a child, echoing prayers through the winding streets of his hometown.
