Joseph Odhiambo alias Misheny was born in Kisumu on the same day eight years after the execution of freedom fighter Deidan Kimathi ie. on 18 February 1983. It makes him believe that he was born a warrior to stand up and fight for the rights of his people. He is using hip hop music as a weapon against the oppression his people have been facing in the slums of Kenya up to this day. Misheny started his passion for music in his childhood. In the first grade he was singing to his class mates the songs he used to listen to on the radio.
