Le Bleu was a Melbourne based duo; Istvan Danko - voice, guitar (now performing as Isht Vahn); Jo Abbott - accordion, piano. They specialised in chanson from the 50's through to the 70's by artists such as Jacques Brel, Georges Brassens, Leo Ferre, Edith Piaf, Boris Vian, Serge Gainsbourg, etc. Active between 1999 and 2004, they played regularly at Le Coq on Brunswick St Fitzroy, the Black Cat cabaret, Breizoz creperie, and performed at many vineyard and mainstream festivals around Victoria. They released a self-titled 4 track EP in 1999.

Just a few gems from the indie rock scene of South Korea, gathered, compiled and enjoyed by yours truly for the first time around 2008-9AD. I prepared this show after returning to Melbourne from the Republic of Korea as a kind of demo to get my old show back on PBSFM, Rock around the World, which I'd presented at the station every Wednesday evening, 7-8pm, from 2004 to 2008.
