I made this song as a way to remind myself through a voice mail lullaby that self-love will always be key especially during your darkest of times.

the rain you hear is the very soundtrack I used to listen to when my mind couldn’t process the pain of giving love to those who weren’t for me in the end

I recorded this very song at the peak of the dark night of the soul when all I was looking for was solace in isolation contemplating life and the new chapter that waited on the other side of letting the troubled past go.

though, I’ve been down, I still choose the key visual of this song to be of my smile, because though heartbreak has hurt, I can honestly say, I’ve learnt a lot about myself through the experience.🕯✨
