Chris Paquette the “Percussionist” was born and raised in the Twin Cities of Minnesota where he met and studied under his teacher Chico Perez. Chris has been a part of Chicago’s music scene since 2001. He can be seen performing live with DJ’s, MC’s, singersongwriter’s and bands-big and small, local and visiting. He can also be heard on a variety of recordings by various artists including Frank Catalano, Marquel Jordan, Julie Dexter to name a few. In addition to the role of an accompanist for dance classes, Chris also teaches through Old Town School of Folk Music in its outreach program. 

Perhaps most notably, Chris has backed artists such as Roy Ayers, George Clinton, El Debarge, and the Isley Brothers when they have come to town. 
But nothing compares to the full support and love for the music created with some of Chicago’s best talent that Chris has the pleasure to work with: musicians of greatness such as Koku Gonza, Obi Soulstar, Avery Young, Jamila Woods, Sam Trump, Abraham Melish, Isaiah Sharkey, Paris Nix and J.Ivy to name a few. Meanwhile Chris Paquette is constantly working on solo music and can be searched on SoundCloud for listening pleasure.
