MIDNIGHT MELODY

'One More Breath' is a Jazz Fusion track inspired by the practice of breathing exercises. Chi-gung, meditation etc. When one arrives at their limit, can one relax and add "One More Breath". Through weeks, months and years of practice, one slowly improves and progress is made. So then "One More Breath" is the inspiration in all activities, to not give up at "the final hurdle".

'Carsick' - from old english - a stream ('sick/sych') coming from a flooded area or woodland ('carr').
The folks in this area on the western fringes of Sheffield, England when the accompanying map was produced in 1850 wouldn't think the term was odd....no motorcars around then!
Of course some current residents of what is now a popular suburb pronounce this area "Carzick" ...is that sick (bad) or sick (good)!!!

From the "folk group" The Sandy Hill Exchange in the late 60's to the current day, playing acoustic guitar has been one of the driving forces in Fred's life.

While there were times early on when family and work necessarily took a front seat, a guitar was never far away and at the ready when the time of day, or a day in the week seemed best for practice and composing.

Now retired and with family on their own, Fred's guitar work draws from nature, personal experiences and inspiration from other great musicians; his music emerging as original fingerstyle instrumental tunes. Described by some as "little poems" of song.... often with unique titles, which add to the musical prose of each piece. Feel free to click on the picture for each track and there may be more details on the origins of the song title, guitar used, tuning, etc. 

Casting a wide exposure through Soundcloud, Fred now has over 21 thousand "plays" on his site as folks from countries world wide are introduced to his music and guitar style. Music also on Spotify:
