Blissful atmospherics, balmy grooves and tripped-out house cuts from Superconscious Records honcho Fantastic Man. With arguably some of the finest productions in today’s left-of-centre dance music making up his personal canvas, the Melbourne native is fresh from delivering the inaugural release for Love International x Test Pressing’s new imprint, as well as releasing his debut long player and a collaborative EP with Roza Terenzi. We caught up to get the latest and he’s graced us with a sublime two-hour mix.

In this episode I was able to welcome the guys behind a wicked little deep house label called Ordinaire Records, based out of Strasbourg in France. Rony, Alex and Thomas have been putting on parties in their area and have their third vinyl release baking in the oven right now. I’ve played both their previous releases on my past shows so it’s been a pleasure to have them on to lay down 90 mins of their signature sound. Listening back to their mix brought out a lot of nostalgia for me as they touch on some of the sounds I was really into (and still am!) during my formative years in the early 2000s, with records from Inland Knights, JT Donaldson, EBE and more. Shame on you if you've slept on Pletnev's "And You Never Come Back EP" that was a joint release between my label Echocentric Records and the mighty R.A.N.D. Muzik! The ep pretty much sums up the sound of Alex - wonky, hypnotic and bass heavy. Currently living in Vilnius, Alex has a string of releases under his many aliases on such esteemed labels as Quintessentials, Futureboogie, Not an Animal + many others - check his discogs for full catalogue. Marnie has just released his latest album "Evocative Rhythm Experience" on The Press Group and to celebrate this occasion, he has created an ambient mix using only the tracks from the first record of the double LP. The mix is the perfect companion for relaxation and introspection, and it's the perfect mix to supplement your chill-out sessions.
