Our next podcast comes from the Swiss producer  now  based in Berlin
Ismael Zouaoui, better known as "Ish".
We had the pleasure of contacting with Ish after having delighting us with his exceptional solo 4 tracker album at Griffé [Chatnoir].

Ismael kindly shares that he spends most of his time as a multi-creative within the Berlin electronic circuit mixing, producing & recording his own projects and the sphere of his friends and mind-liked producers.  Ismael has performed on  Berlin's iconic underground venues Club der Visionäre, Hoppetosse, and Wilde Renate.

Infusing sets from floating ambient, up-tempo rave sounds to unexpected rarities.  Extending his repertoire Ismael has contributed with tracks for the infamous labels Partisan, Albeit Records, System Error, and Burbi with a unique sound rich in texture and identity.

Welcome to the new Pluie/Noir podcast series. 8 years after our debut we decided to press the reboot button and return to our roots. With a new format and back to a regular monthly schedule, Pluie/Noir Interscapes will feature audio collages, mixes, live interviews, and live recordings from P/N artists, friends, and other collectives we admire.

Because less is more, instead of the usual triptych format, this series will feature one single A3-A1 visual interpretation of the music by a graphic artist. The artwork will be available to purchase in poster format on our rebooted Bandcamp page very soon, with cassettes or CD-r of the mixes as a bonus.

For Interscapes 05 we welcome the very talented Ismael Zouaoui aka @ismael-zouaoui to expose his most mellow side, with a visual interpretation by Montreal-based artist SUFèR.

ISH, also known as Kind Des Geistes, is a Swiss-Tunisian DJ, producer, live performer, and New Media artist based in Berlin. He is signed to labels such as Animals on Psychedelics, Libertine Records, Small Moves, Nashville House Syndicate, Griffé, and Partisan, among others, showcasing his unclassifiable and ever-evolving artistic style.

Ismael Zouaoui spends his days crafting intricate electronic music in his Berlin studio. His creative process involves incorporating complex drum patterns, diverse sampling techniques, and multiple layers and textures. Exploring sounds and ideas from different eras, his music is characterized by its contemporary, playful, distorted, 3-dimensional, fat, and clean qualities.

Ismael’s DJ sets are influenced by electronic music from the 80’s, 90’s, and early 00’s, as well as by the contemporary work of his friends. In his DJ sets as well as in his live sets as ISH, audiences can expect the unexpected, depending on when and where he’s playing: his sets range from floating ambient to up-tempo rave sounds.

In addition to his DJ and production ventures, Ismael, under the alias "Kind des Geistes," performs live and presents A/V live shows. This particular project revolves around brainwaves, where the music is played live by his brain, and the visuals are based on the visualization of the brainwaves. 

He is the Label owner of Holographic Universe as well as co curating the Experimental Music Events Aether along Gwenan and Eli Vervein.
