Your Periphery Is My Center is a show on @refugeworldwide curated by Oramics to support regionally underrepresented artists by amplifying the voices from the Central/Eastern European electronic music scene and examining inequality within the industry. Each broadcast presents a selection of music from a different country in the region.

This time we’re revisiting a very special episode of @airraidsiren-podcast – SOUND HEALING – which originally premiered in September 2022 on multiple platforms. As its host, artist @ninaeba, put it:
“All happening in Ukraine is traumatic for every citizen, each experience is unique and incomparable. Art, and especially music, is salvation and healing for us, cause it can express and reflect thousands of shades of anger, pain, and despair... as well as faith, hope, and even drive, which we need every day to sustain our spirit, to fight on the battlefield or in everyday life.”

Unfortunately, the war is still happening; in light of recent events, we want to express our ongoing support for Ukraine by broadcasting this touching radio play. AIR RAID SIREN podcast focused on Ukrainian underground producers of experimental music and their stories.

NINA EBA is the solo project of Ukrainian singer, sound producer, and DJ Alina Volkova. Her sound blends alternative R&B and indie-electronic with fast bass and IDM influences. This unique mix is the result of five years of DJing, during which she developed a deep passion for experimental dance music. In August 2024, she released her debut multi-genre mini-album MORPHO, followed by a remix compilation RE:MORPHIX, created in collaboration with 10 producers from different countries.
A hybrid set for HÖR BERLIN showed her absorbing sound design and a stage persona which encapsulates her gentleness, hardness and lightheartedness. Nina’s sets have also been heard across Rinse France and Radio 80K, while her English-speaking AIR RAID SIREN podcast documenting russia's invasion of Ukraine held slots at NTS, RBL Berlin, Voices Radio, Hong Kong Community Radio and Polish Radio Kapitał.

Your Periphery Is My Center by Oramics: Ukraine | NINA EBA (AIR RAID SIREN archive)

Behind The Stage is pleased to premiere a track from ISNT’s new album Blurred Line, released on the New York-based label Metamorp.

Blurred Line is the result of ISNT’s sonic explorations at the intersection of ambient, techno, and film  music.  It  is  hypnotic,  spacious,  and  infused  with  an  undertone  of  unease.  Rhythmically,  it  draws inspiration from industrial and electro, yet it is not entirely designed for the dance floor. The album was created during different phases of the artist’s life. Some of the tracks stem from her work  on the soundtrack for the 1924 silent film The Hands of Orlac, others were developed during jam sessions , while some are variations on live material performed before the pandemic. Despite its varied origins, the album is unified by the artist’s distinct modus operandi.
