Wasnt like this shit happen every day he had a sound that was like sent from God that was perfectly for us which had that old school boom bap soulful jazzy classic feel & boy im telling you it was like the easiest beats to write to because it was our sound & our chemistry clicked instantly so from the start of the year we started making mad music & we like pieced everything together & said we should name the tape IRIE because it was like we had no worries within the process of this tape we was so sure that this music will take us to the next level because it was so Genuine ... & also we wanted to make something Our families could listen to so we tapped into our inner selves & said we should dig deep on finding who we are which was our Roots us being children of Caribbean parents my family is from Jamaica & his Family is from Trinidad which mean we grew up listening to a lot of Reggae & Soca also a lot of Hip Hop so we like Fused all those together which us also being from Brooklyn we felt like we had to Represent & Thats how we came up with #IRIE
