When I received my lovely 'James Tyler Variax JTV-59 TSB' a year ago in March 2011 (might have been one of the very first ones in the UK to receive a JTV), one of the first things I tried out was its 'Alternate Tuning' feature ... playing around with the baritone tuning I ended up with this 9/8 time rock vamp over which I started noodling while recording it ... not a style I normally play a lot (hence the title), I kinda liked the first couple of minutes & decided to keep it :o) ...

A Blast from the Past --- recently found this recording (March '92 -  (gosh, more than 20 years ago :o0 ...) from a Blues & Rockabilly outfit I used to play with back in Germany from circa 1988 to 1994 ... \:o) 
We did record our version of this Golden Earring piece for a CD to promote an all-night long benefit concert  - which was later broadcast on German TV -  with 10 other bands from my home-town Stuttgart to raise money in support of a campaign to prevent the closure of youth centres for young people ...
 
Could still kick myself for giving away my beautiful '64 Gretsch Tennessean after the breakup of the band :o( ...
