This song was built entirely from instruments made from a 1:40 long recording of ambient noise (birds, cars, etc) from a friend's balcony.  No synths or other samples were utilized; only effects to manipulate the original sample.  It was a fun, fulfilling challenge.  I plan on doing more of these.

Depth Horizon (challenge track - see notes)

This is another challenge I took, though not as involved as Depth Horizon.  The bg drones and lead are sourced from a friend's sample of beach waves.  This was made over a couple of hours, and rearranged the following night.  By no means is it properly mixed (let alone mastered), and that's OK.

I have a bad habit of starting tracks and not finishing them. The paralysis of having over 30 'In progress' finally took hold.  So what's a "musician" gonna do?  Why, abandon them all and start fresh, of course!  But first, let's have a brief funeral of some of the tracks that could have been something.  Or maybe not.  In any case, it's closure.
