Minor Patterns - Inner Life (Ezzy 2 AM Remix) [SSR027]

South African artist Tshxlx Irl joins up with US imprint Low Recordings to release a seven-track mini-LP entitled 'Dystopia.

 Tshxlx Irl is a producer and beatmaker from Daveyton, South Africa, whose work is a fusion of electronic elements, lo-fi soundscapes and beat experiments. Tshxlx Irl's sonic explorations are certainly something to admire. His previous releases on the Peruvian label Spy On Records certainly adheres to this adventurous attitude into music production's deeper realms. 'Dystopia' sees Tshxlx Irl join the tight-knit Los Angeles based community, Low Recordings, which includes artists such as Heartwerk, VCF, Evade Robots and more.

'You're Mine (All I Know)' begins with dreamy melodies revolving around gentle kicks and soul-infused basslines before late-night house cut 'Broken Ones' features irresistible strings and shimmering low frequencies. Up next, 'Fast Life' offers up euphoric pads underneath the lo-fi, muffled drums and soothing fx whilst 'Crying Hard' features emotive vocals, soft piano keys and throbbing bass revolutions.

Skippy grooves, introspective atmospheres and fluid resonance effortlessly take the focus in 'Silent Screams' and 'Bad Romance' before the heavenly 'Til' We Ghost' rounds off this gorgeous album with floaty soundscapes, breezy modulations and heartfelt tones which keep you cosily engaged.

Tshxlx Irl ‘Dystopia’ is out on Low Recordings on 26th April 2021.

Over the past year the Lisbon-based Bernardo Mota ( @bernardomotapt ) has become one of our favorite up and coming producers. His music has been conquering the underground house scene, having released countless mesmerizing edits, and putting out some slick EP’s and Singles via theBasement Discos, Fresh Take Records, Karussell and more. He was also featured in Jamie Jones’ Boiler Room in London and that speaks for itself. Mota is now preparing to drop the awaited Simple Times EP on Simplexia Records and 2021 might be special for him, with more releases coming out later in the year.

Rush City are the new Bogotá-based duo with a fresh exclusive 3-tracker out on YUNG DUMB Records, the label's first release of 2021. 'Natural Fear' is a song for the times, with heartfelt moody synth-work in tow, accompanied by woody 808 percussion, airy vocals, and a satisfyingly thick bass line. 'What Is Love?' is an old-school inspired house slammer with a 'groovy' vocal track that'll have you longing for a dance floor. The EP closes out with Absolute Sound, a psychedelic breakbeat for the heads. We hope you enjoy the sound of Rush City.
