Rafael Capetini is traveling without moving. Barangandão is the name of a toy of African origin used in dances that blend the artist's exploration of psychedelia found in the drumming of Carnival with the bittersweet feeling that is neither happy nor sad, embodying the essence of the word "saudade," which is challenging to explain to foreigners.

As a DJ, he is well-known for his unique mix, blending rhythms from different continents (and new to whom?). Mixing with the lowest frequencies of the spectrum and inviting you to the cavernous school of Dub, Capetini manages, with this single, to create a new business card that showcases all of its culture and originality. With each passing day, the boundaries between their sets and productions become more blurred. With “Barangandã,” the distinction between play and toy is also set aside, both on and off the dance floor.

In these times, as we strive for peace, love and equal rights, it is through the universal language of music that we find our common ground. Music transcends boundaries, heals wounds and unites souls. 

Sixty-one years ago, on August 28, 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. stood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and delivered his iconic "I Have a Dream" speech. This moment has since been etched into the collective memory of the US and the world, symbolizing a pivotal point in the Civil Rights Movement. Dr. King’s words echoed through the hearts and minds of millions, painting a vivid picture of a future where justice, equalityand peace, prevail. 

In honor of this momentous anniversary, DJ Lo-Fi has crafted a special tribute that captures the essence of Dr. King's dream through the universal language of music. This collection weaves together the rich textures of jazz, exotica, soul and downtempo, echoing the timeless messages of peace, love and equality that Dr. King championed.

Nahuatl Sound System (Sudden Reverb / Dubmission Recs.) is one of the aliases of Mexican-born, Berlin-based electronic music producer Fernando Perez Gomez. His sound is a unique and pioneering blend of cumbia,  steppers and dub-techno. His sets are a channel-separated live mix of his own productions and remixes, creating unique on-the-spot versions of all of his productions, which involve recorded musicians with both organic and synthetic sounds, performed with fierce, futuristic and eclectic vibes.

this is the intro ive performed live for @quackcoletivo 's quackentena #7 set on zoom (link below),  using @lefrit 's rallentato edit from @candouk 's  "sundown" as a base and adding a piece by para one & arthur simonini 's soundtrack from "la jeune fille en feu" and freely sampling parts of a tiktok meme which is probably mr. hotspot & toosi's "whatchu' doin'"   but i'm not sure.  there is also a sample from lonski & classen - the dream feat. miranda (mrux bootleg) and from da iguana - ballad in a'dam and maybe some other minor sound trinkets which i can't recall right now cuz that's the magic of improvising a live performance =P
